SewGlo™ HD 5m Kit

The SewGlo™ HD (Heavy Duty) 5m Kit is a 5m long piece of SewGlo™ thread in your choice of colors. The SewGlo™ HD illuminated thread is a brand new type of illuminated wire, which is a little thicker (0.5mm vs 0.3mm), more robust (has roughly 4x more pull strength) and brighter (about 2-3x brighter depending on color) than our standard SewGlo™ thread product. 

It can be bent, knotted, folded, sewn or embroidered as the minimum bending diameter is roughly 0.2mm. Now you can sew illuminated accents into just about anything; hats, pants, jackets, shirts, costumes, props, set design and much more. This HD thread is more suitable for using on industrial sewing and embroidery machines as it will not break nearly as easily. 

This is a ready made kit that comes with a pre-soldered end with multiple battery pack options.

Both soft and water resistant, SewGlo™ HD thread is able to be a 1:1 direct replacement for common thread, only SewGlo™ HD cabling will provide illumination to anything it is attached to. The muted colors of SewGlo™ when off allow the product to blend into fabrics completely until illuminated.

We understand the need for SewGlo™ HD Illuminated thread to be washable. We’ve got your covered! The unique coating on the material is capable of multiple wash cycles (machine wash cold, hang dry). This allows even more uses for the product as it can actually be laundered and treated like regular clothing items!

In this kit, the battery pack options are as follows: the 9V Battery Pack, the AA Button Battery Pack and two new AAA Silent Battery Pack (takes 2AAA not included) or the Silent Wave Rechargeable Battery Pack. The AAA Battery Pack (takes 2AAA Batteries, not included) is the smallest and most compact battery pack option. The AAA Silent Battery Pack is slightly brighter and will last longer which also has the benefit of operating silently. The AA Button Battery Pack (takes 2AA Batteries, not included) allows you to feel the button through clothing and is the tallest of the battery pack options. The Silent Wave Rechargeable Battery Pack is a great way to have a reusable, rechargeable battery, which also operates silently. This option has the longest glow (per charge) of any of the battery packs. The 9V Battery Pack (Takes 1x 9V Battery - not included), has the largest footprint of any inverter option, but includes a brightness adjustment wheel, as well as variable blink mode.
