TruEL™ Wire

If you are looking for a product that's more reliable, brighter, and robust than EL Wire, keep reading! Introducing TruEL™ Wire! TruEL™ Wire is the most exciting lighting product since, well, the introduction of EL Wire! One of the most common issues with common EL Wire is the small angel hair wires commonly used on every single EL Wire on the planet (even our previous models). This created a weak point for the wire and caused premature failures at the connection point, end cap, and even along the length sometimes. Well, we figured out a way to add two big core wires inside and remove those pesky small angel hair wires to provide a robust EL solution that has a crazy amount of benefits.

The durability of the product is brilliant! Stage and Theatrical companies have been reluctant to use EL Wire in sets, due to the durability and hassle of replacing. TruEL™ Wire is a perfect solution, since it can provide easy, linear accent lighting easily quickly, and reliably. The addition of DMX controllable inverters allow the TruEL™ Wire system as an easy addition to nearly any other stage lighting.

We also came up with a proprietary TPU to replace our jacketing which provides better moisture resistance, chemical resistance, durability, UV resistance, heat resistance and tensile strength! The standard thickness of TruEL™ Wire is 4.0mm (compared to our standard EL Wire which is 2.6mm). 

Want to hear another added benefit? TruEL™ can actually be driven by larger inverters so it can be used in long run applications. Typically EL Wire is not suitable to be used on applications over 100ft because of the fragile nature of the product and it is easy to "pop" the angel hair wires. With  TruEL™ Wire, you can span runs of up to 1000 feet! There are two ways to order this product, either in pre-made kits, or by the foot.

POWER:
TruEL™ Wire can use standard EL Wire inverters, but keep in mind it does take more power (about 2x). If an inverter says it can power 50ft of EL Wire, make sure to limit the TruEL™ Wire to 25ft. Also because of the construction of the wire, it won't look quite as bright as our standard EL Wire with the same corresponding EL Wire inverters. In order to maximize the brightness of this product, make sure to use the TruEL™ Wire inverters.
