How we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit ellumiglow.com or use the MOOD mobile application.

Information We Collect

Website Ellumiglow.com

When you visit our website or place an order, we may collect:

  • Order information — name, email address, shipping and billing address, and payment details processed securely by Shopify Payments and/or third-party payment providers
  • Account information — email and password if you create a customer account
  • Browsing data — pages visited, referring site, browser type, device information, and IP address collected through cookies and analytics tools
  • Communications — any information you provide when contacting us via email or contact forms

MOOD App Mobile Application

The MOOD app is designed with a privacy-first approach.

Location data (optional) — If you grant permission, the app accesses your approximate location solely to calculate local sunrise and sunset times for circadian lighting schedules. Location data is processed on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Home Assistant connection details — The app stores your Home Assistant server URL and access token locally on your device to communicate with your smart home system. These credentials are never sent to Ellumiglow or any third party.

App preferences — Your lighting groups, scenes, alarm settings, and other preferences are stored locally on your device using on-device storage.

No analytics or tracking — The MOOD app does not include any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or usage tracking. We do not collect crash reports, usage statistics, or behavioral data from the app.

All MOOD app data processing happens entirely on your device.

Data Storage & Security

Website

Our website is hosted on Shopify. Your order and account data are stored on Shopify's secure servers. Payment transactions are encrypted and processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment providers. We do not store your full credit card information.

MOOD App

All app data stays on your device. We are never an intermediary.

All app data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. Nothing is transmitted to external servers operated by Ellumiglow. Communication between the MOOD app and your Home Assistant instance occurs directly over your local network or your own configured remote access.

Third-Party Services

Website

Our website uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

  • Shopify — e-commerce platform and hosting (Shopify Privacy Policy)
  • Google Analytics — website traffic analysis
  • Judge.me — customer reviews
  • Payment processors — Shopify Payments, PayPal, and other providers available at checkout

MOOD App

The MOOD app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services. The only external communication is with your own Home Assistant server, initiated by you.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to provide core functionality (shopping cart, authentication), remember your preferences, and analyze site traffic. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.

The MOOD app does not use cookies.

  • Request a portable copy of your data

For the MOOD app, you are in full control of your data at all times. You can delete all stored data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. No request to us is needed because we do not hold any of your app data.

Our website and the MOOD app are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Data Retention

We retain your website order data for as long as necessary to fulfill our legal and business obligations (e.g., tax and accounting records). You may request deletion of your customer account data at any time by contacting us.

MOOD app data exists only on your device and is retained until you clear it or uninstall the app.
