Laser Wire® Commercial Grade Tubing (By The Meter)

The Laser Wire® Commercial Grade Tubing (By The Meter) is a sheathing for standard Laser Wire® cable so it provides a more robust solution in the commercial environment, both indoors or outdoors. Made with a specialized jacketing that does not yellow or become brittle with UV exposure, this jacketing makes a great addition to all profiles of Laser Wire® cabling to use in many environments.

Made out of an extremely high grade FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene), this product has a high resistance to sunlight, heat, chemical resistance, water & salt water resistance, and even provides an extra layer of protection from kinks, and general handling. While the fiber should still be used with caution, this product provides quite a bit of extra strength to the Laser Wire® cable, all while remaining very flexible. You will notice that the light transmission is nearly exact to the standard Laser Wire® cabling, however it takes a slight sharpness out of the product. This makes it a little easier to stare at, which can make a great addition for automotive use, art installations, and many more.

When adding the Commercial Grade cabling to your Laser Wire® jacketing, it is important to keep the product as straight as possible. We notice the longest effective runs per length are around 7m, at which point the cable becomes fairly difficult to slide through. Talcum powder rubbed on the tip of the wire prior to threading will help pass the wire through much easier and for longer distances. Use caution when sliding the cable through, as too much force can cause the Laser WIre® to kink and break.
