Common Questions

What standard sizes does VynEL™ come in?
VynEL™ panels are available in pre-cut strips, flow labels, and HD sheets. Common sizes include 1"×12", 2"×12", 4"×4", 4"×8", and 8"×8". Custom cut sizes are available for orders of 10+ panels — contact us to spec your project.
Can I cut VynEL™ to shape?
Yes. VynEL™ can be cut with scissors or a blade to any shape. Seal cut edges with the included edge sealer to prevent delamination and maintain waterproofing.
How does VynEL™ attach to a garment?
Three methods: iron-on heat bonding (fastest, permanent), sewing around the perimeter (most durable), or contact adhesive for non-fabric substrates. The iron-on backing is included on all Flow Label products.
How many panels can one inverter power?
One inverter can typically power 2–4 standard VynEL™ panels depending on panel size. Larger builds (full costumes, backlit signs) may require multiple inverters or a central power distribution unit. Use this planner or contact us for multi-zone projects.
Is VynEL™ safe for direct skin contact?
Yes. VynEL™ produces cold electroluminescent light — no heat output. It has been used in Disney Live Entertainment, film productions, and children's clothing. The panel itself operates at very low current density and is biocompatible.
